Each employer has its own rate, rules and TD1. A new employer starts CPP, EI and tax from zero, even if you maxed out at the last one.

Log your hours day by day and see every cheque: straight time, time and a half, double time, vacation and holiday pay, dues, CPP, EI, an income-tax estimate and subsistence. The year view adds it all up. Pick your province and agreement on the Settings tab: Alberta Local 92 (industrial, commercial and maintenance), BC and Yukon CSWU Local 1611, the Ontario ICI schedules of Locals 183, 493, 506, 527, 607, 625, 837, 1036, 1059 and 1089, Quebec manoeuvres under the CCQ conventions, New Brunswick Local 900 (Moncton and the North Shore), Nova Scotia Local 615 and Cape Breton Local 1115, and Newfoundland and Labrador Local 1208 are built in, with each province's payroll tax. The week shown first is an example; change any box.

How it's worked out

Everything below is for the employer picked on the Settings tab. Rates step on the agreement's own dates and the calculator uses the column in force for the week you're looking at. Hours are your hours on site, breaks included, the way the agreement's overtime rules count them.

Filling in as foreperson: set that day's role under the date. Each day's hours are paid at that day's rate; overtime follows the same day rules.
Holidays are built in for your agreement and moved to the day they're observed. Untick Stat to switch one off, or tick it for a day your job observes instead.
CPP and EI (2026): CPP 5.95% after a $67.31 weekly exemption until $4,230.45 for the year, then the second CPP at 4% on earnings between $74,600 and $85,000. EI 1.63% until $1,123.07. Quebec: QPP 6.3% to $4,479.30, EI 1.30% to $895.70, QPIP 0.43% to $442.90. The log counts these up week by week, separately for each employer.
Income tax uses the 2026 federal and provincial payroll formulas (CRA T4127, July 2026 edition) the way payroll does: the week's pay times 52, union dues taken off first, with each province's extras (BC tax reduction, Ontario surtax and health premium, Quebec abatement). Real cheques usually land within a few dollars. Quebec provincial tax is an approximation of the Revenu Québec formula.
Living-out allowance and travel are reimbursements. They're normally tax-free when you file a TD4 with your employer, and they don't get vacation or holiday pay. Tick "This employer pays living-out" on the Settings tab and new days you log will have LOA on.

Not included: Saskatchewan (the Local 180 agreement is published only with its rates blacked out), Manitoba (the Local 1258 agreement link is dead) and Prince Edward Island (no public labourer agreement); Local 900's Saint John units in New Brunswick, the Ontario EPSCA power-sector and residential, sewer and road agreements, and the Quebec residential and civil-engineering sectors. Also not modelled: travel time and mileage, call-outs and show-up pay, weekly overtime thresholds (Ontario Local 625, Newfoundland commercial, Cape Breton's six-hour rule: the calculator counts overtime by the day), schedules longer than 8 h a day (8½ and 9½ h Ontario days, the New Brunswick commercial 10 h day), weekly Quebec union dues (enter them as a monthly amount), height, swing-stage and other small premiums, owner-requested overtime at time and a half in Alberta, the 12-hour turnaround shift paid as a flat 12 h, refractory, pipeline and company-specific agreements, and dues that a local does not publish (enter them from your stub). Employer pension, health, training and fund contributions aren't on your cheque; where the plan is known, the pension part is shown as a memo line under the cheque and on the Year tab.

Privacy

Your hours, pay, employers and settings stay on this phone. There's no account and no sign-in, and we never see your log.

What we do receive:

When you open the app: an anonymous count. It includes a random number your phone makes up, the phone type, your province, and which poster, QR code or link brought you here. It can't identify you.
If you buy a key: your email, passed to us by Stripe and kept with your key so we can find it if you lose it. Stripe handles your card, and we never see the number.
When you turn on a key: your phone's random number, so one key works on up to three phones.
If you use the feedback box: your message, your email if you give it, the agreement you had selected, and your phone's browser type.

We don't sell or share any of it, and there are no ads or tracking scripts. The site is hosted by Cloudflare and payments go through Stripe. They see what any web host or card processor sees.
